United Way of Essex and West Hudson hosted an author visit for Newark Public Schools‘ students with Jackie Robinson’s daughter, Sharon Robinson, as part of their My Very Own Library author visit program. Sharon talked about her book, The Hero Two Doors Down, and the importance of seeing #42 prominently displayed by all MLB teams on 4/15 each year. On that day, in 1947, Jackie made his major league debut. ⚾
